Ivan Popkov, PhD

Ivan is a physicist and a scientific researcher with an experience in optics and physics of liquid crystal, and polarimetry and superresolution of optical systems. He received his PhD in Physics from the South Ural State University where he also worked as an assistant professor. He has also worked as a freelance optical systems engineer at Zemax, LLC., an international and software company that specializes in developing and supporting optical and illumination design software.

Ivan has been published in such scientific magazines as Applied Optics, Optics and Spectroscopy and Proceedings of SPIE. He has also presented his research papers at several scientific conferences, with Nato Security Summer School being one of them.

Aside from his interest in Physics and Optics, Ivan’s interests include psychology and fitness. He resides in Melbourne, Australia. Him and his wife are raising one son.
